I live 20mi out of the closest town in the mountains of Southern Oregon but have access to 3 translaters (CBS, NBC, PBS). The Axion picks up two of the three and if I move about enough I can get all of them. It runs on Batteries, 12v car pug in and AC so all the bases are covered. I was a little dissapointed in the short AA battery life but that was never important to me. It is a great little set for where I live and what I want it to do, mainly, for listening to local and national news while cooking dinner.

This is a very handy t.v. Good reception and picture quality. The 5" screen size is great along with being able to plug it in or use batteries. I would recommend this product.

I just received my T.V., approximately five (5) days ago. I am impressed with it so far. The sound is good for it's size. I use it in my office at work, and don't need any more sound than it produces. The picture is very good also, however, there are some reception problems at times. I believe the problem is more with my office rather than the T.V. itself. I have been playing it everyday, and so far it is a good set for the price. I like the way it autotunes when the channel up and down button is pressed. So all I can say is, so far, so good. When I used it at home, the picture was awesome. I noticed that some reviewers had problems with their tv, but remember there are oftentimes a lemon in every bunch. I hope I don't have any regrets later. I rated the set 5 stars, because it is working as well as I had hoped. I don't know much about Axion products, but I guess I will learn soon enough.

I was impressed with the reception and quality of the picture, however the sound was so poor I had to return the product. The sound is distorted and I had several others listen to so I could be sure it was not just my hearing. I wish the sound had been better so I could have kept the product because the picture is really great.

I had read so many varying reviews about portable tvs that we did not know what to expect. In our home, every channel comes in clearly, however, when travelling about 30 minutes from the inner city, not every channel comes in. The channel buttons scan for you, but it would be nice to be able to fine tune the reception manually...but the tv doesn't offer that option. The sound quality is good and the picture is great when we get reception. We have only used the tv with electricity and have not yet used it on batteries. Overall, it is a good little tv.
