Amazon.com Product Description
The high-capacity, 1800 mAH Rayovac NM715-8 Rechargeable NiMH AA Batteries last up to three times longer in digital cameras than standard alkaline, and can be recharged up to 500 times. That means more shots on a single set of batteries, not to mention thousands of dollars in savings on batteries for your high-drain digital still camera. Plus, with Rayovac NiMH batteries, there are no "memory" problems -- recharge your Rayovac batteries any time, even if they are only partially drained.

Usage Tips

  • Always charge NiMH batteries before first use
  • For maximum performance, charge batteries prior to using if stored for more than one month
  • Charge in any Rayovac NiMH Battery Charger (Note: older Rayovac Renewal rechargeable alkaline power stations or battery chargers do not charge NiMH batteries)
  • NiMH batteries can be disposed of with regular trash -- NiMH is safe for the environment

4 out of 5 stars mAh Rating   December 13, 2005

The Rayovac site identifies these batteries as 1800 mAh. These batteries will outperform alkaline (disposable) batteries by about 300% in high-drain electronics.

However, you can get 2500 mAh (that's about a 38% improvement over these 1800mAh) NiMH rechargable batteries for about the same price.

5 out of 5 stars Reliable battery at a cheaper price   January 17, 2006

I primarily tried this battery over other name brand competitors as it is generally $1-2 cheaper per 4 AA batteries. I have used the batteries for about 6 months and found that the AA batteries hold a full charge with each use and recharging. I primarily use the batteries in my portable CD player and wireless video game controllers. I find I generally get about 35-40 hours of play time for my CD player, and about 150 hours of play time for my wireless videogame controller.

So far I can say nothing but good things about these batteries. They where purchased for my digital camera and work great with it. I am able to charge them overnight and they work for the rest of the week. I can tell you this much the batteries lasted me taking one to two pictures of each float in the Rose Bowl Parade, with the display screen off. Now that's allot of pictures.

5 out of 5 stars 2000 mAh   March 29, 2006

I was worried about what the mAh of these batteries would be (higher will last longer). I received them today and they are 2000mAh, not 1800 as listed on their site. Hope this helps yall, since Amazon does not list the mAh.

2 out of 5 stars It does not last long!!!   May 31, 2006

I recieved Rayovac NM715-8 2000mAh, not Rayovac NM715-8 1800mAh.
Rayovac claims this battery lasts 3X longer than standard alkaline battery, but in fact it does not. Two of this fully charged batteries died after 2.5 hrs when I used them for my Garmin I3 while two of Duracell alkaline batteries gave me almost 6 hrs. I recharged the two batteries over night and tried again, I got the same result. I would not recomment this product to anyone!
