Simple to Operate, Easy to Read February 9, 2007 27 out of 27 found this review helpful
Bought this for my elderly father, who has trouble seeing and lacks dexterity to push small buttons. This is not a dazzling, sophisticated remote, but it is perfect for users such as my dad, or those who don't care about all of the "bells and whistles". The layout is logical and easy to figure out. It seems to have truly "universal" compatibility. As shown in the photo, the channel number buttons are actually shaped like numbers! What a refreshing difference from most remotes that have groups of tiny, difficult to push buttons with small numbers printed on them which rub off with wear! In the case of this remote, simple is good!
PS The only criticism I have is that the buttons do not light up. Otherwise, I would have rated a perfect "5"
Great price, works as described...only one small complaint September 19, 2007 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Cheap, works, retains the programming codes so you don't have to re-enter them a lot.
Only thing I don't like is the shift button. You have to use it for several things when controlling the DVD player, and it doesn't have a light up button or anything, so you never know if "shift" is currently selected or not. This matters when you press a button and it performs its alternate function rather than the one you intended. A light-up button indicating "shift" is activated would have been great.
Other than that, it all works. It's nice to have a remote that DOESN'T have 300 buttons. This one is simple enough to use...I control an ancient Sharp VCR, a Sony flatscreen TV, and a new Philips DVD player without any problems. Codes were simple and all worked fine. Best couple of bucks you can spend!
I would give it a 4 if it cost $30, but because of the incredible bargain and only a small complaint, I have to give this product 5 stars.
great remote May 7, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This remote is as advertised-very easy to use -great not having to use separate remotes for one activity-
Device does not work November 11, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The Universal Remote Control does not recognize Sharpe T/V or Presidion Combo. The codes don't work. Upon calling for assistance I was told that the device I purchased does not receive Tecnical Support.
Super Little Remote November 9, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Received the product in like two days. Entered the first code in the book for my tv and she fired right up. The large letters are so convenient. Great product and delivered fast. I recommend this for anyone who needs a Universal Remote.
