| Customer Reviews:
NOT weatherproof as advertised October 20, 2007 The camera quality is fine for its price (don't expect too much and you'll be okay). But the description at the top of the page definitely says, "weatherproof camera." However, the manual clearly states, "indoor use only." And it definitely doesn't look like it's weatherproof. I noticed it also says "300 ft. range" in the description. That one is definitely a stretch, if not an outright lie also. It works very marginally at about 30 ft. Beyond that, it's pretty much worthless, so think of this as a fair-to-poor camera that can "transmit" its signal from one side of a room to the other side of the room without wires -- indoors only. Now it doesn't seem so useful anymore, does it? Buyer beware.
Save your money November 2, 2007 As usual, products from Wisecomm/Clover operate like crap. Absolutely no support available, no updated drivers, existing drivers crash, poorly written software, incomprehensible english in their "manual", sheesh even their website doesn't work properly (http://www.wisecomm.com), so what can you expect?
Maximum range I can achieve is about 7 feet. When 2 feet apart, the video quality is still horrible. The software does not allow you to choose a specific camera, so essentially you cannot use this system on a computer that already has a webcam, and you cannot use multiples of these units on a single computer. As a software developer for 30 years, I would expect better software design from a first year student intern.
It is a good value if you can get it for $10 or less, other than that, save your money.
