Looked all over for this product, finally found it on Amazon. Guess from now on I'll start there.
Great product November 11, 2008
I love my X10 gear. This is a good starter kit. It will allow you to turn on/off 1 device with the remote. It will also let you add one more x-10 module (light or appliance) to your household. Any more modules and you'll require the larger remote. The little remote has decent range. I'd give a ballpark of 50' with a fresh battery. Good enough to turn on your house lights from the driveway.
