Product Description The Suunto Micro Compass series comprises two models, Clipper and Comet, which feature a liquid filled capsule and rotating dial. An invaluable navigational tool in town or country, the compass can be clipped to a watch band or bag strap, or used as a key ring to ensure that the compass is always with you when you need it. A Suunto Micro Compass, customized with a company logo, makes an ideal and practical business gift.
Amazon.com Product Description Hailing from Suunto's Micro series, the Clipper L micro compass attaches conveniently to a watch band or hand strap, making it an invaluable navigational tool for on-the-go users. More importantly, the Clipper's liquid-filled capsule, jewel bearing, and rotating dial are accurate and precise whether you're navigating on city streets or country roads. The compass even comes with a luminous bezel for low-light conditions. Plus, the compass--which measures a mere 1.2 by 0.94 inches (W x L)--takes up virtually no space in your pocket. So go small without sacrificing accuracy with the Clipper L.

Better than Expected April 2, 2007 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
This compass is better than I expected. It is tiny but accurate, clips firmly onto my watch band (and comes with a band of its own), and has a smooth, fluid motion. The latch is a bit flimsy, and can't close completely on the band of my Timex Men's Ironman Triathlon 100-Lap FLIX System Watch #T5E231 but it grips well enough -- even for off road running -- that the latch really isn't needed (and the rest of the compass is not flimsy at all.) The north indicator and rotating bezel are luminous enough to see easily at night, and the bezel stays firmly in the position you set it in. Worth the price.
Superb September 15, 2007 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This fits nicely on my watchband. I have bought several of the Chinese "all in one" survival aids - compass, whistle, LED light, etc.. - and the compasses NEVER work. This is a VERY accurate 1" diameter compass. No, it is not a lensatic compass for orienteering, but it WILL tell you where north, south, east, and west are.....
Good for the price, can be uncomfortable to wear August 23, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this in hopes of wearing it on my watchband, but some of the edge poke can be felt after wearing it for a while. However, I wear my watch tight, and by band is wide and thick plastic. The compass itself is great, much better than the cheap compasses like those on match containers and the like. I have mine on a lanyard attached to a Sog Revolver. The luminous bezel is great too. It makes a great backup compass.
Works Great! October 17, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
ADDED TO MILITARY STYLE WATCH, WORKS GREAT, IT WOULD BE 5 STARS IF IT LIT UP AT NIGHT. EUROPEAN TECHNOLOGY AT IT'S BEST.
Exceptional in its field January 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Suunto Clipper with luminous bezel is exceptional for what it is.
It is not intended as a primary navigational tool, but a backup and a way to check other tools. It is small enough to go mostly unnoticed on a watchstrap in the woods, but has luminous bezel and markings, and a rotating bezel. It is marked every 10 degrees and has clicks on the bezel every 7 1/2 degrees. With most of the features of a full sized compass and accuracy comparable or better than many larger compasses, this is an outstanding watchstrap compass. It is durable, still performing well after riding in a pocket full of keys and change and being beaten about on ones wrist.
Overall: the best of its type! If you want a better compass, you'll have to get a bigger compass.
