Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Digi-Slave Mini L-Ring and Digi-Slave Mini L-Ring Ultra are powerful, easy-to-use LED ring lights ideal for macro photography. Recommended for cameras with smaller lenses and equipped with super high power white LEDs, both units feature a variable power dial to quickly and easily optimize the light output. These compact, lightweight ring lights are perfect for any kind of close-up photography dental, catalog, jewelry, etc. when using cameras with lens threads up to 52mm.

4 out of 5 stars As advertised   January 20, 2008
A good product. Easy to use. Actually came with a Duracell 9V in it so I could use it right out of the box. I am using it for photographing medical/dermatology macro images with a Canon Powershot S5 IS. You will need to have a 52mm adaptor to use it with this camera (I purchased an inexpensive one for $14). The only downside I have is that, unless you are zoomed in about 50%, you can see the light array in the shot, which is a bit annoying. However, the lighting from the unit is adjustable (dimer knob) and gives much better lighting than from the flash. All-in-all - for the price - it is just what I expected and wanted. If you are not into buying a several hundred dollar ring flash, this is a great, inexpensive alternative.
